
Sarah Gentner
I am passionate about helping individuals reach their greatest potential and live healthy, happy lives through creative and collaborative policy and program implementation.
In the Power Building & Leadership Lab, Policy Fellow Sarah Gentner works on the Beyond 2025 Action Hub. She assists in tracking and organizing current and proposed federal policies to build out the Beyond 2025 database. Sarah also authors policy analysis, providing the public with a concise understanding of current federal policy changes and priorities.
Sarah has a rich background in public health. At the University of Michigan, she worked on the front lines of the COVID-19 response on campus. During her social work practicum at BU, Sarah worked at Emerson College’s health and wellness office and at Fenway Health’s LGBTQIA+ Aging Project, where she engaged in project management, policy, and training facilitation. Sarah also taught leadership skills to high school students at a camp, creating and delivering curriculum related to equity and communication. In New Zealand, she taught at an all-girls boarding school.
Sarah holds a Bachelor of Science degree in public health sciences from the University of Michigan—Ann Arbor, where she graduated with highest honors. She earned a Master of Social Work at BU, studying macro social work.
