Driven by a commitment to community and equity, I use research and data to drive policies that strengthen health systems and uplift those most often overlooked.

Collins Gaba is a Research Associate at the Center for Innovation in Social Work & Health (CISWH). In this role, he manages data and conducts quantitative analyses to support research evaluating the role of social workers in advancing health outcomes and enhancing the value of care. He contributes to report and manuscript writing, supports grant management, and collaborates with graduate research assistants across multiple projects.

Before joining CISWH, Collins Gaba worked as a dental surgeon in Ghana, where he served in both clinical and research roles. His experiences with underserved communities sparked a deep interest in health equity and policy, leading him to pursue a health policy degree. After completing his graduate studies, he worked as a Research Associate at the Institute for Global Health and Development at the Heller School at Brandeis University, where he conducted research on HIV resource allocation and health system efficiency, applying advanced data analytics and machine learning techniques to guide funding decisions and improve care delivery. Collins contributed to projects funded by PEPFAR and the Gates Foundation, supported grant management, and collaborated on policy briefs and capacity-building workshops focused on sub-Saharan Africa.

Collins Gaba holds a Master of Science in Global Health Policy and Management with a concentration in Health Economics and Analytics from Brandeis University, where his research focused on predictive analytics, healthcare market analysis, and health systems efficiency. During his graduate studies, he conducted multiple data-intensive projects using R, Stata, SAS, including risk profiling for COVID-19 patients and health insurance claims analytics. Collins also earned a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana, where he conducted research on oral hygiene practices among high school students in Kumasi.
