Program Coordinator Mitra Sharif provides comprehensive administrative, financial, and event coordination support, ensuring smooth daily operations and strategic efficiency. She collaborates closely with leadership, staff, and external stakeholders to manage logistics, update policies, and troubleshoot operational challenges. Her role includes financial data entry, reconciling accounts, processing invoices, and coordinating travel logistics, while ensuring compliance with University policies. Additionally, Mitra plays a key role in event planning, managing vendor relations, scheduling, and on-site coordination to facilitate successful programs and initiatives.
Mitra has a diverse background in human resources, operations, and communications, with experience spanning the B Corp, nonprofit, and higher education sectors. At Sunwealth, she served as a human resources and operations co-op student, where she played a key role in onboarding, employee engagement, and office management. She led company-wide discussions to refine organizational values, coordinated internal events, and supported cross-functional collaboration to enhance workplace culture.
Mitra also worked as a co-op student at EF Education First, as a traveler insights quality evaluation coordinator, where she analyzed customer feedback to identify trends and improve traveler experiences. Her ability to merge data analysis with strategic communication strengthened customer satisfaction. She also has experience in leadership and mentorship, having worked as a counselor at YMCA SummerQuest Travel Camp and as a leader-in-training for Camp Ayandeh, a youth organization supporting the Iranian-American diaspora.
Beyond her professional roles, Mitra has a strong foundation in performance and public speaking, with training in improvisation and acting. She effectively engages teams, drives strategic initiatives, and fosters meaningful connections in professional environments.
Mitra earned a Bachelor of Arts in communication studies at Northeastern University, with minors in business administration and professional presentation. During her academic journey, she spent a semester in Thessaloniki, Greece, where she gained new perspectives and cultural insights.
