Dr. Allyala Nandakumar, director of the Global Social Work & Public Health Lab at the Center for Innovation in Social Work & Health (CISWH) at BU School of Social Work (BUSSW), recently joined the ThinkWell advisory board, where he will provide strategic guidance on strengthening global health systems and health outcomes.
ThinkWell announced the appointment of four distinguished leaders who will guide the organization’s strategic direction as it expands its work in underserved health markets around the world. Nandakumar joins a group of experts in global health policy, health systems, and international development.
A leading health economist, Nandakumar previously served as the first chief economist at USAID’s Global Health Bureau and at the Office of the Global AIDS Coordinator. His research and advisory work spans more than 20 countries and focuses on health financing, health expenditures, and strategic purchasing.
ThinkWell is a health systems development organization that leverages tailored health financing strategies to help low- and middle-income countries build universal health coverage and high-qualityhealth systems.
