CISWH’s Meg Comeau Shares Solutions for Community and Home-Based Services for Children with Medical Complexity

Meg Comeau, senior project director at the Center for Innovation in Social Work & Health (CISWH) at BU School of Social Work (BUSSW), recently spoke on a special episode of the Complex Care Journal Club Podcast celebrating the Pediatric Academic Societies (PAS) 2026 annual meeting. 

Comeau, who manages the Powerbuilding & Leadership Lab at CISWH, shared her expertise on home and community-based services for children with medical complexity, their families, and providers. This important and nuanced type of care can be difficult to coordinate and access. On the podcast, Comeau shared how a formalized, national coalition focused on pediatric complex care could provide a solution. She described how research focused on better understandingproblems in access to care, paired with an advocacy agenda, can address gaps and better meet the needs of children and their families.
